Cara
An assistant that shows its working.
Cara helps your team find and draft. She never decides. Every answer points back to the record it came from.
What Cara does
- Answers from your own documents. Ask in plain words. Cara searches your effective SOPs and your deviations, CAPAs, submitted change controls and signed lab notebook experiments.
- Shows its sources. Every statement carries a label such as SOP-2026-0001 v2. Each source is a link to the record, so you can read it before you act.
- Drafts for a person to review. On a deviation, Cara can suggest a root cause or a CAPA. Nothing is saved until a person edits it and applies it, and the record is marked as AI-assisted.
What she never does
- Sign, approve, release or close anything. Named people make those decisions.
- Change a record. Cara reads; people write, through the normal screens.
- Show someone a record they cannot already open. She works with the same access as the person asking.
- Treat a past record as an approved procedure. A deviation shows what happened, not how to work.
Privacy and control
- Chats are private to the person who had them, administrators included. Archived chats are deleted after 30 days.
- An administrator can switch Cara off for the whole organisation. While she is off, nothing is sent to an AI provider.
- When Cara is on, your question and the few excerpts that matched it are sent to an AI model provider to write the answer.
Where she falls short
- Search matches words, not meaning. A question worded very differently from the SOP can miss it, so try another phrasing.
- She reads PDF and Word (.docx) files. Older .doc files and scans without text are listed as unreadable.
- She can be wrong. Check the cited source before you rely on an answer.
